Executive Director Derek Smith discussed energy standards and Board Member Jen Amann presented about codes
On Thursday, July 23, RII Executive Director Derek Smith hosted Energy Standards: The Missing Piece for Scale and Sustainability, a roundtable held twice during the day-long virtual Indoor AgTech Innovation Summit, a unique platform to develop new business and accelerate projects across the Indoor AgTech ecosystem. Derek’s roundtables focused on the development of energy standards to improve industry efficiency while informing industry leaders, governments, utilities, investors and consumers in their evaluation of the environmental performance of producers.
RII Board member Jennifer Amann was an expert on the Lighting and Energy: Driving Efficiency and Economic Viability panel and spoke on the research ACEEE has done nationwide to catalog the energy efficiency opportunities for growers and the ways utilities and efficiency programs can incentivize high performance lighting equipment.
