Resource Innovation Institute is seeking the participation of eligible producers for its USDA Conservation Innovation grant-funded project: Data-Driven Market Transformation for Efficient, Sustainable Controlled Environment Agriculture. The producers will be representing a wide range of facility types, geographic locations, cultivation methods and crops.
The next round of producers will join leaders such as AppHarvest (KY), Revol Greens (TX), Elevate Farms (NJ), and Fifth Season (PA) in addressing barriers to resource efficiency in the field of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). They will serve as initial pilot partners in support of the USDA-funded project. The project aims to transform the CEA market sector toward more efficient production through coordinated research on energy and water practices led by RII and the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE).
RII will provide these partners with comprehensive data analysis and peer-reviewed guidance to help maximize resource efficiency and sustainability, optimize growing conditions, and minimize footprint.
Benefits of participation include:
- Free, confidential benchmarking of your facility’s environmental and operational performance (using industry-standard KPIs on energy, emissions, water & waste)
- Performance Snapshot to compare your performance year-over-year and support your investor relations and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting needs
- Recognition as a sustainability leader via USDA-promoted facility case studies
